Size doesn't matter when it comes to your brain and kindness. Even a simple act of kindness causes your brain to release of a hormone called oxytocin. This hormone activates the part of your brain that makes you feel pleasure and helps modulate your emotions and social interactions.
So go big or go small, you'll get the same amount of brain boost. A small act of kindness, such as a warm smile or an encouraging word, can be as meaningful as buying someone a gift or taking them on a trip.
