Do This Kindness Activity With Your Entire School Community!

Watch the magic happen! Our Fun Kindness Project this month will get the whole school talking. We've created 25 Conversation Topics that you can use today!

Here's what to do:
Set-up.
Step 1: Download & Print KindnessConversationTopics.
  • Create multiple bundles.
  • We suggest you make a set for each grade level or teacher.

Step 2: Laminate & cut up the Conversation Topic cards.

Step 3: Place each stack of 25 cards into separate containers.
  • Container suggestions: index card box holder,  envelope, or make your own.

Step 4: Place Conversation Cards on the tables where students will be sitting for their snack or lunch break.

How it works:
Step 1: Choose a day each week (or month) where you, your teachers, and staff can commit to eating lunch with students.
  • Note: this can be on a rotating schedule but we encourage you to have ALL adults on campus participate at least a couple times throughout the year. Try to aim for a 7:1 ratio, seven students per one adult.

Step 2: The adult at the table will pick a card from the stack and read it aloud. Then, he or she will ask the students to answer the question, fill in the blank or whatever else the card asks.

Step 3: If there is time, ask a student at the table to pick a different card from the stack. Have him or her read it to the group and invite others to answer the question, fill in the blank or whatever else the card asks.

Suggestions:
  • Make this a weekly or monthly activity
  • Make it “fun” by playing music your students like in the background
  • Dress up the tables. Add fake candles and fake flowers to make it more special
  • Make it more casual. Put blankets or bean bags on the ground to create a picnic setting.
  • Get the community involved. Ask parents or community members to join you on these special days.
  • Ask your student leaders or ASB to be in charge of this activity. This would be a great for your leadership student team.

These Conversation Topics can lead to stronger connections and open the door for deeper conversations in the future. Think of them as icebreakers! We hope you have fun with this activity and we hope it helps you in building a stronger school community through kindness.  If you have any questions about our programs, you can contact us at team@21daykindnesschallenge.org

    Note From the Founder

Hello. I am the founder of the 21 Day Kindness Challenge Program.
I believe if we focus our efforts on helping our young people develop good character values and teach them how to listen with their hearts their world will be a kinder place to live. It is my hope that my story inspires others to “be the change they want to see in the world.”
