Wednesday Challenge: September 11, 2019
Psychologists are looking to self-kindness to help explain unanswered questions about emotional intelligence and relationships. In fact, psychologists are actively working on treatments that can help raise self-compassion levels in their patients.
An article in Psychology Today says, "[Self-compassion] provides for a stable sense of self when things don't go well in life, whether it's a bad day, a loss in competition, or the loss of a job. If we lose our sense of self-worth during these challenges of life, we will have a hard time recovering."
When we exercise self-compassion, we do not feel the need to look for the approval of others. Additionally, when we are kind to ourselves, we invite others to be kind to us too. So, what are you waiting for?!? Do these three acts of self-kindness this week!
Wednesday Self-Kindness Challenge for September 11, 2019:
